Petra Tschudin has been a Member of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank and Head of Department III since 1 October 2024. She joined the SNB’s research department as an economist in 2004, worked as an economist at the Bank for International Settlements from 2009 to 2011, and later led the SNB’s Monetary Policy Analysis unit before becoming Deputy Head of its Economic Affairs division in 2021. She earned a doctorate in economics from the University of Basel in 2002 and completed post-doctoral studies there in 2007. Source ↗
