Ayano Sato has been a Member of the Bank of Japan’s Policy Board since June 30, 2026. She was a lecturer, associate professor and professor at Takasaki City University of Economics, and later a professor at Aoyama Gakuin University. Sato holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Waseda University.
