Toichiro Asada has been a Member of the Policy Board of the Bank of Japan since April 1, 2026. He was a professor of economics at Chuo University from April 1994 and became Professor Emeritus and a Visiting Research Fellow there in Apr. 2025. He earned degrees in economics from Waseda University, Hitotsubashi University, and Chuo University.
