Carolyn Hewson is a non-executive member of the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Monetary Policy Board. A former investment banker, she was an executive director of Schroders Australia Ltd and served on the Australian Government’s Financial System Inquiry in 2014. She served on the Reserve Bank Board from 30 March 2021 to 28 February 2025. She holds a BEc (Hons) from Adelaide and an MA (Econ) from Cambridge.
