Isabel Schnabel has been a member of the European Central Bank’s Executive Board since 2020. She was a member of the German Council of Economic Experts from 2014 to 2019 and has held professorships in financial economics at the University of Bonn and the University of Mainz. She earned a PhD in economics from the University of Mannheim in 2003.
