Piero Cipollone is a member of the European Central Bank’s Executive Board. He was Deputy Governor of the Banca d’Italia from 2020 to 2023, economic adviser to the Italian Prime Minister in 2018 and 2019, and an Executive Director at the World Bank Group from 2011 to 2014. He earned a Master of Arts in Economics from Stanford University and a degree with honours in Economics from Sapienza University of Rome.
