Peter Kažimír has been Governor of Národná banka Slovenska and a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank since 1 June 2019. He was Minister of Finance of the Slovak Republic from 2012 to 2019 and State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance from 2006 to 2010, and studied at the University of Economics in Bratislava, where he earned a master’s degree.
